One has to be just on the prowl for the stocks which have declared their dividends post closure of the market as next day these stocks can be shorted to an extent as generally stock price drops a little less than dividend amount and thus one can make money with the available differnetial margin.

However as a word of caution do not undertake this exercise in Options as Options market makers take into account scheduled dividends in calculating the prices of put and call options.
