I have personally liked the Jesse Livemore stated that there are days I will be long and days I will be short and there will be days I will go fishing. Thus at times staying in cash and holding out of the market is also a strategy and one can compare the same to Narasimah Rao posture where non decision was also a strategy during his regime as a Prime Minister.

These days of fishing occur when the market is going to see some major decisions in forthcoming days and one is not sure of the prevailing trend in the market or the likely impact of major events like the same is going to happen in Indian market in forthcoming days due to budget 2010, economic survey tabling and rail budget and same if coupled with F&O expiry.
